drew manning

Drew Manning is my new hero.  I saw him on Leno a couple of days ago when we were staying at Mom's house.  He's a personal trainer residing in Salt Lake who is embarking on a journey to get fat for 6 mo and then back to fit in another 6 mo.  This is so interesting to me because he's NEVER been out-of-shape.  It's been eye opening to see how quickly he lost his fit self.  It goes away so quickly.

After just 8 wks he could no longer count his abs and was getting winded going up the stairs.  These pictures are from week 1 and week 25.

I've been happy to see that he's addicted to Mtn. Dew and Capt'n Crunch.  Although those aren't my indulgences of choice, I certainly have my vices.  I'm looking forward to seeing how he curbs his cravings.

I've also really enjoyed reading how this journey has affected him physically/mentally/emotionally, plus how it has affected his marriage.  It's all really eye opening to see how his life has changed.  It's inspiring and I admire his courage.  This is a scary venture.

Drew's now rounding the end of his journey from fit to fat.  I'm looking forward to his journey back to fit starting Nov 5.  It's prefect timing because Jordan leaves Nov. 2.   We've been eating like we have no sense since he got home and I've noticed my pants getting tighter.

So, starting the moment Jordan steps on that plane I'll start my journey.  I'll be following along with Drew and taking notes.    Although I'm not overweight, I want to get in the best shape of my life.  I know it's possible, it just takes determination.  Anyone else in?  Let's do this!!

Who's pumped?!  EERRRR!!

I hear ya! After a 10-day trip w/ my hubby, eating lots of yummy food in europe...i'm feeling quite chunky! Starting tomorrow, it's back to exercising and eating healthy!

Amy - You've always been a skinny mini. I think from an outsider's perspective it's easy for someone to assume it has to do with luck and metabolism, so it's nice to hear that you work for it too! You're awesome.
