yogurt parfait

Rose loves getting yogurt parfaits when we eat at Panera or Subway, so I decided to start making them at home for her.  She somehow doesn't clue into the fact that the yogurt at restaurants is flavored.  :)  Ours is my plain Green yogurt, mixed berries, and granola.  Plain and simple.  In the Spring/Summer I like to use fresh berries from the farmer's market but frozen work well on the off seasons.

crib set

You may have noticed the adorable bedding from Ellabeca's photo shoot?  Well, when I decided to get Rose, Ellabeca, I knew that a crib set would be a hit.  So, I called up my sister, Amber.  She's going to kill me for this post, btw, because she doesn't like attention but I had to show it off, Internet!  I'm sure you agree.

I sent her some some fabric I had in the closet and measurements of the crib and Amber whipped it together.  I knew it would be perfect because Amber is an incredible seamstress.  Her work is impeccable and she takes such care that it turns out right.  She is the same sister that made Rose's toy bag.  Told you, good ideas.  

The crib set came with a mattress, pillow, bumper pad, and quilt.   The crib, I picked up at a flea market years ago.

She also added some special touches that Rose is sure to cherish forever.  Amber knew this would be something Rose would want to pass to her children.  How smart is she?  Anyway, she embroidered Rose's hands in one panel.

And her name in another panel.  

The little flower is such a fun touch.

 Told you, look at this craftsmanship.  Impeccable.

ellabeca's newborn shoot

Rose got Ellabeca for Christmas this year.  I knew that she was going to be a hit.  More months before Christmas I could not wait to give her to Rose!  Anyway, she came with a baby book.  Inside there are spots for pictures, so this shoot was for that.  Rose was all about it.  She styled the shoot herself.

We're going to send these of for print this week.  I'll post pictures of her baby book when it's finished.  I love how the pictures turned out.  I hope that Rose will cherish them forever.  She sure does love Ellabeca.

Oh, by the way, Rose made up the name Ellabeca last year.  She even chose the spelling of it.

Yes, yes.  When it rains, it pours!  You asked for more posts, you got 'em.  Several.  :)

We love puzzles.  We've been doing puzzles with Goose since she was a wee one so she is a wiz at them.  She whipped this baby together in no time!

There are SO many pictures, as you can imagine, that I have taken and haven't had time to post.  This is from Oct from when Jordan was home.  Only 4-ish more weeks until he's home for good!  Man, we miss him.  I know you all do too.  Who doesn't love this guy?!

This was Rose's first official hiking trip.  She did awesome!  I can't wait to go again.
